Our father and company founder, Harland
Veinotte is now enjoying a well deserved
retirement. In his day, however, he was known as a
hard working individual who knew the value of a
dollar. When he moved his family from Sudbury to
Morrisburg in the Seaway Valley district of Eastern
Ontario, he was not about to pay someone else to
do it. And so, he bought his own transport, a 1956
Ford Flatdeck.

Once in Morrisburg, he decided that since he had
the truck, it should be put to good use. And with
that decision, Harland Veinotte Transport went into
business. A man of his word with a strong sense of
committment to others, he quickly built up a solid
roster of customers.

Close to a half century later. Harland Veinotte
Ltd. still has a solid roster of customers
- and it includes some of the original
ones! Harland has finally retired but,
as his sons, we're still hard at work
carrying on the respected name.
